This web site was created on 6 June 1999 in support of the release of Steve Pratt, Branko Jelan and Peter Wallace, CARE Australia workers imprisoned in Yugoslavia. A form was provided for use by members of the public who wished to a message of support. Details of how to send a message by fax, phone, email or letter were also provided. A One Voice Campaign Button was also designed for use on web pages.
The one voice web site and button were designed and supplied by Tom Worthington, as a community service.
The first version of the site was announced 9 June 1999 via e-mail to Australian and international media, via mailing lists and the Newsgroups: aus.politics, soc.culture.yugoslavia and soc.culture.australian.
The second version of the site was announced 11 September 1999, following the release of Steve Pratt and Peter Wallace. Branko Jelan was still in prison and messages of support continued until his release on New Year's eve 1999.
This web site remains as a matter of public record and to thank all those who supported the campaign.
